Acupuncture Treats Sciatica Pain

Sciatica is pain in the lower extremity resulting from irritation of the nerve from L2 to L4 in the spine.  The pain of sciatica is typically felt from the low back (lumbar area) to behind the thigh and radiating down below the knee to lower extremities, sometimes radiates to the groan.  In most case, the more it radiates, its a severe case.   The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body.  Sciatica sometimes occurs because of trauma, extensive lifting, deterioration of disks, family history and or excess weight on the lower back.  In most cases, they have no idea what happened, just know they are in pain.
