What to Expect:

First visits generally last from sixty to ninety minutes.  Angie will give you a brief explanation about the needles, cupping and Nutrition Response Testing®.  Angie will spend time talking to you about your health concerns. You may be asked a wide range of questions about your symptoms, eating, sleeping habits, emotional state and anything else that may offer insight into your health.  She will also employ diagnostic tools that are unique to acupuncture such as tongue and pulse diagnosis.  Angie will concentrate on acupuncture points related to specific organs, based on your unique symptoms and health concerns.  Your follow-up visits typically last about forty five minutes which always includes a talk about your health concerns.

Getting the Most from Your Acupuncture Treatment:

• Please show up on time
• Eat something before your treatment
• Wear loose, comfortable clothes
• Be sure to discuss any questions or concerns with Angie
• Keep all of your appointments, as each visit builds upon the previous ones
• Drink plenty of water
• Get plenty of rest

Typically acupuncture treatments are advised once or twice a week. If the condition is severe, treatments may be given 2-3 times per week until the condition is balanced and then weekly-monthly follow up visits. The exact number of treatments depend on the severity of complaint, basic level of health, sleep and the ability for your body to heal itself.
