Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain is any unpleasant and painful sensation in the abdominal region. The abdomen is an anatomical area that is bounded by the lower margin of the ribs and diaphragm above, the pelvic bone below, and the flanks on each side. The organs of the abdomen include the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. Occasionally, pain may be felt in the abdomen even though it is arising from organs that are close to, but not within, the abdominal cavity. For example, conditions of the lower lungs, the kidneys, and the uterus or ovaries can cause abdominal pain.  Pain lasting more than a few days, be sure to first check with your doctor to rule out any serious or life threatening conditions.

Acupuncture for Abdominal Pain
Acupuncture treats abdominal pain by promoting the Spleen and Stomach function in transporting vital substances (food, water, air, Qi and blood) to every part of the body. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is about, energy, flow, and balance. If  organs are cooperating with each other (balance), and the body has enough energy (Qi) circulating properly (flow), the body is balanced.  Acupuncture is often combined with Nutrition, herbs, and or cupping for maximum results.

Treatments Needed:
It depends on the duration, severity, nature of the complaint and or the ability for the body to heal itself. 3 to 20 or more treatments may be advisable to balance the body.

Most patients fall asleep during treatment and have no side effects!

Acupuncture prescriptions are specially designed for each patient, so points will be added or eliminated to balance the body!
